Designer Whey Sustained Energy Review + GIVEAWAY

by Jillian on June 25, 2013 · 51 comments

Because of my partnership with FitFluential, I’ve had the opportunity to receive and review another Designer Whey product. This time, they sent me the Sustained Energy protein powder.

They included vanilla bean and chocolate velvet, which I was really excited about!

The one thing about this protein powder that I like is that it contains whey, soy, and casein protein. The whey is for immediate refueling post workout, while the soy and casein release slowly in order to keep you full for a long time.

The chocolate velvet was awesome. The texture of the shake was definitely “velvety” smooth and the taste was spot on, whether I added spinach or not! ;)

The vanilla bean flavor was very prominent and I felt like I could feel the little black beans in the texture, but that may have been the strawberries I added! Haha! Anyway, it will still delicious and I was very satisfied with the consistency, flavor, and mix-ability.

The stats are great, too! I always find myself trying to scoop out less of my protein powders because of the calorie count, but the serving size for these contains only 100 calories, but has 16g of protein, 5g of fiber, and 19 essential vitamins and minerals.

I will definitely be enjoying these powders for post workout recovery until I’m all out, and I need to order more. Lucky for you guys, you have a chance to win some Designer Whey Sustained Energy!

For a chance to win, just leave a comment with what flavor (chocolate velvet or vanilla bean) you’d like to try.
On July 1, I will choose 6, YES SIX, winners!
