A few weeks ago, I was invited by Lisa to attend a class of my choice at Work It Out, a fitness class-based studio in Hoboken. I had seen some tweets about it and was definitely interested so I accepted immediantely.
After searching through the classes and asking Lisa for her opinion, I decided on Next Stop: Skinny. I think I’ve only done one group cycle class in my entire life, so I was hesitant about choosing one of those, but I later found out how non-traditional their cycle classes are. I probably would have enjoyed it. Oh well, next time!
I arrived at the studio pretty early for a short tour.
It’s small, but has everything you need including complimentary hair ties and gum!
The locker/waiting rooms were very cozy to sit in while waiting for class to begin.
The spin room is quite small, with only 2 rows! Apparently the classes are done in candle light, which is pretty cool!
The rest of the studio was very cozy as well, with complimentary water and towels.
The Next Stop: Skinny class was held by Kara, who was extremely outgoing and fun! It was a circuit style class with a cardio blast in between every two movements. I highly underestimated it and left covered in sweat!
I definitely enjoyed the class and would recommend it for locals who are into group fitness. It has a no judgement and fun feel but the workout was still challenging! If I didn’t just purchase a one year CrossFit package, I’d probably consider doing some more classes here. There are so many unique group class offerings with a variety of time options.
Thanks, Work It Out, for inviting me to check out the studio!
