Joe got me the most beautiful flowers for Valentine’s Day, but I only had one night to enjoy them since I headed home to my Mom’s after work on Friday.
He also got me chocolate (because he knows the way to my heart), 3 cards (we never buy each other just one!), and a kitten stuffy which Gus immediately decided was his. So sweet of him!
Despite being sad to leave my boys, I was extremely excited to visit my Mom and meet her new Ocicat kitten, and valentine, Max. Joe said that Gus called me a trader.
But look at that face. I could die. He is certainly a little explorer! He’s going to be one spoiled little boy if i know my Mom. I’m no longer an only child now!
I usually walk in the door to my Mom’s and immediately want to eat, and the case wasn’t any different yesterday. We had eggplant parmesan and a side of brussels sprouts and broccoli.
The night ended with lots of kitten time!
My mom’s friend was at her house to see the kitten when I arrived last night and she mentioned a “cardio blast” class that she takes on Saturday mornings. My mom told her I was looking for somewhere to workout for the day, so she offered to take me with her to the class since the local YMCA allows a free guest with her membership.
Well, let me just say that it was not what I expected, in so many ways! She told me it involved some “stepping”, but I may have overestimated my 1980′s aerobic class abilities. Ha! I put two lifts under my step while everyone else had one. Let me tell you, the (probably) 60 year old instructor kicked my booty! It was definitely “old school” and I loved it! Check out that calorie burn!
I was happy to find that my Mom had both old fashioned oats and eggs so I was able to make my egg white whipped oats with peanut butter.
We’re going to relax and enjoy Saturday with Max. We also plan to visit my grandpa later and grab something for lunch/dinner.
And maybe take a little nap…..
