Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving! I am just posting quickly before my Mom and I leave to go to my Aunt and Uncle’s for the day.

I woke up around 8:30 this morning and made a quick breakfast before a planned turkey trot of my own!

Mom always makes sure she has the goods for me. I mean, she reads my blog so I don’t even have to tell her what I eat! Those pills are glucosamine chondroitin for my joints. They truly help my hips, which seem to have been bothering me since the cold weather started.

Before I went to the track, I did Tina’s Thanksgiving workout. It was a great warm-up and got my heart racing!

In the meantime, my Mom decided that she wanted to come. She said since I was going to made her feel like she should get some exercise in, too! Yay!

I thought it was going to be colder being that the temp said 34, but it actually was quite nice by the time we got there.

I geared up for the worst but ended up taking off the Adidas headband that my Mom kept from when I was, oh I don’t know, in grade school? I didn’t bring anything else home for cold weather!

It was a beautiful morning for a run!

We actually ran into my Mom’s friend who was walking at the track, so I did one lap around with them before I started sprints. I sprinted the straight away and jogged the turns. I also stopped for a few walk breaks. The air was getting to the my throat a little bit!

I ended up doing 3.25, since I didn’t clock in the first lap that I walked. It was great to get moving before this morning knowing that I’ll be indulging in Thanksgiving dinner later!

After a quick shower, I made eggs with spinach and feta and ate the rest of the banana from this morning.

Now we’re off to New Tripoli! Have a wonderful Thanksgiving everyone!!!

So we had almost the exact same morning with a few alterations. I woke up (had a bagel thin with peanut butter and banana) worked out, and now I’m eating eggs with spinach before dinner. Like minds! :) Happy Thanksgiving sweet girl!

Happy Thanksgiving, Jillian! I think this is the first Thanksgiving in like 3 years that I didn’t run in the morning. I did a nice, hip opening yoga practice instead :)

Hey lady – hope you had a great holiday! I’d love to hear more about what you take for your hips – I recently started having a lot of hip trouble. Do you mind sharing – is it an ongoing problem for you?
