Buffalo Tuna Salad

Last night Joe and I were watching TV and I kept checking my phone, mainly because I was participating in the Reebok and Fitfluential #getafterit Twitter chat. When he finds a movie or show he likes, he usually points out that I’ve probably never seen the movie or I don’t really care for the show, which is mostly true. I’m usually that person who hasn’t seen the classic movies that “everyone should have seen”.

It made me think about something. If I had to choose, I would rather have the internet than TV. I’d much rather read recent articles, blog, and go on twitter than watch TV. Don’t get me wrong, I love my weekly shows like Revenge and Grey’s Anatomy. I also love a good movie on demand sometimes, but I would still choose the internet. I mean, you could still watch ABC shows on demand online, right? Or is that cheating? Winking smile

Workout

I had one client this morning before jumping right into my workout. Well, not before this.

Oof! Talk about headache and the shakes! I get free samples with my monthly Netrition orders and it’s usually full of pre-workout powder and protein powder. I’ve tried 1.M.R. before, but today it just made me want to vomit.

Anyway, I did legs today followed by some incline walking on the Woodway. I love this treadmill – way easier on my knees and hips!

Lunch

When I got home, I was craving tuna. I guess it was my body asking for protein. I mixed a few ingredients together and came up with a delicious combo!

  • 1 can tuna (of your choice)
  • 1/4 cup (creamier) or 3 T. (less creamy) 0% Chobani
  • 1 T. buffalo sauce (I used Frank’s Red Hot)

Mix and slap on some whole wheat toast for a delicious protein packed sandwich!

I think it would be great with chopped celery and carrots in the mix too, but I didn’t have any on hand. Instead, I served it with a side of Food Should Taste Good sweet potato chips.

Aaaand I just spent a half hour creating these when I found out that I get a discount on Reebok through my health insurance.

Hmm…. still a bit pricey – Christmas is coming soon though. Smile

Alright, I’m off to have a wild Friday night in front of the TV. I’ll be watching this 20/20 special, how about you?

My choice is definitely the Internet because there is a variety of things to do. Watching TV shows on it is not cheating!! LOL

I’m right with you on the internet over TV. Before moving back home temporarily, I hadn’t had cable for at least 3 years and I really didn’t miss it. The shows I wanted to watch, I could find online. And honestly, I easily get hooked into TV shows that I really don’t care about which I just find frustrating. So no cable is better for productivity. ;)

i totally agree with you on internet over tv. i can keep myself entertained on the internet, reading blogs, articles, etc. but tv usually bores me after about 30 minutes. my husband is the total opposite, i think it’s a guy thing. :) i am also that person who has never seen classic movies that everyone is supposed to see. no star wars, indiana jones, james bond, twilight, or harry potter for me!

thanks for mentioning the 20/20 special, now that’s something that will hold my attention (i think)!

Yummm! I love tuna salad and I love everything buffalo chicken… why didn’t I think of this before??? Haha. Definitely going to have to make this soon!
