I am going to break the Blend Retreat recaps into multiple posts because I have a lot of pictures and a lot to share. I hope you don’t mind! Plus, it keeps the good times rolling for a few more days and I can reminisce some more. I still can’t believe it’s over. I remember getting the survey to see how many people would be interested and what dates worked. Now, it’s over and we are all having withdrawal!
Anyhoo, I last left you at bedtime Friday night. My alarm went off at 6am on Saturday morning to get ready for boot camp. We went out to the large field at the bottom of the lodging area where there were beautiful views. We were greeted by Fitmixer with bottles of already mixed amino to power us through the workout!
Tina and Lindsay kicked kicked our butts! Check out the workout on Tina’s post!
Then, we separated into 7 groups.
We had to sprint to the center of the circle, grab a tennis ball, and do as many of the exercise that was listed on the ball as we could in 60 seconds.
Our team didn’t win, but we had a blast doing as many seal jacks and squat jumps as we could!
Ashley, Katie, me, and Heather
Next up was breakfast sponsored by Xagave. The setup was adorable!
They had bagels, toast, almond butter, homemade jams (made with Xagave – they generously gave each of us a copy of the cookbook and I cannot wait to make the strawberry one!), blueberry and carrot muffins made with Xagave, Chobani, oatmeal, dried fruit, regular fruit, nuts, granola, and Green Mountain Coffee straight from the Keurig! I loved that they had a Keurig station setup with a selection of K cups and nut/soy/coconut milk! A food bloggers dream!
I thoroughly enjoyed my coffee! I also enjoyed some samples of Cheribundi!
Steve from Xagave told us a little about the products and how it was featured in some of the goodies (jam, muffins) that we were enjoying for breakfast.
I couldn’t help but fill my plate with a little bit of everything! I grabbed a banana, lemon blueberry granola, fruit, a muffin, toast with almond butter and strawberry jam, and a 0% Chobani, of course!
I made myself a little yogurt bowl and went back for more almond butter and jam. It was addicting!
Good thing I did, because it powered me through the intense hike afterwards! More to come……

That bootcamp sounds pretty serious. Nothing like bootcamp out in the mountains!
I love bootcamp outside! So much better than in a gym!

Oh my goodness, the Blend recaps are making me so sad I couldn’t join you all! But I’m SO glad you had a blast; it looks like one of the best blogging events ever. Next year I’ll definitely be there (I’ll be graduated, so no more stinky finals to get in the way!).
I love the tennis ball workout idea. What a fun way to mix things up! And Xagave sounds like a great brand–I love drizzling agave nectar on my Greek yogurt messes.
I’m bummed I missed the FitBlogNYC event today, but I’ll definitely be traveling to the city soon! Love ya, girl! xoxo <3

Your breakfast looks awesome- and how about that lemon blueberry granola?! I’m so tempted to order some online, but have SO much granola from the swag bag to keep me set for a while (not to mention the packets of Love Grown Foods granola that I snagged from Sunday’s breakfast!)
I took a bunch of the lemon blueberry granola samples! Lol!! I have sooo much granola too, it’s ridiculous!
that tennis ball game looks like a lot of fun! Looks like you enjoyed the trip!
