Spin The Wheel

It was my day at Trader Joe’s yesterday!

I stopped after work to get some bananas since they are 19 cents a piece and I figure at 5:00 on a Tuesday, there should be lots of big ones left. Everyone always takes the big ones first since they aren’t sold by the pound. I got 15 to be exact.

Of course, as I meandered around the store, I picked up a few additional things that may or may not be necessary.

Anyway, as I was checking out, I was reading this sign.

All of a sudden, I hear a bell ring!

Well, what do you know? My receipt ending in .36 allowed me to spin the wheel.

I landed on the 99 cent reusable shopping bag, but being that they were out of them, I got the sweet $1.99 insulated shopping bag!

This one is staying in my car. I always stop after work and then I don’t have my reusable bags on hand since I normally just grab them before I go to the grocery store.

I arrived home to this exciting package.

Suzanne contacted me to see if I’d be interested in trying the new Special K granola bars in dark chocolate and chocolatey peanut butter. I can’t wait to try these – I’ll be sure to let you guys know how they are. Thanks so much Suzanne!

I made a quick dinner which included kale chips (kale massaged with olive oil, nutritional yeast and sea salt baked at 425 degrees until crispy) and a whole grain tortilla pizza with shaved zucchini and black truffle cheese!

And that’s about it.

This morning involved no pictures, but a pretty awesome upper body workout!

Thanks to all who entered the Luna Fiber bar giveaway. You still have plenty of time if you haven’t entered already!

Yummy! What does the nutritional yeast do for the kale chips? I love kale chips, could eat them everyday! :-)

Nutritional yeast has a lot of nutritional benefits.. It’s kind of cheesy/nutty tasting and it has a lot of vitamins and protein. It gives the chips a little extra flavor!
