Sprinkle Massacre is 1!
One year ago today, I wrote my first post. I described my love for fitness, food, fashion, and sprinkles!
One year later, I am a totally different person. I no longer work full time in the fashion industry. I am studying to become a personal trainer and a health coach. I’ve learned so much about myself and finally found a “happy place” in my life.
I’ve attended a blog conference and many blog events and even ran my first race. I’ve met some amazing people!
I can’t imagine not being involved in the healthy living blog community. It keeps me motivated every day. I am especially thankful for YOU, all of my readers. I truly appreciate everyone who visits sprinkle massacre! I had no idea where I would be last year at this time, and I can’t imagine it any other way than it is today!

And my birthday cake would most definitely be a carrot cake with delicious cream cheese frosting. Typically from the same bakery every year because its my favorite!!!

Congratulations!! I am so proud of you! My favorite birthday cake is silver batter with butter cream icing, but has to be from the only bakery here that adds a touch of almond extract to the batter to give it that hint of an amaretto taste!

I don’t like cake. And I can’t eat cake anymore (gluten kills my gut), so now I have a great excuse to scrape the frosting off. I LOVE FROSTING.
It was my birthday on Saturday!
I had Sprinkles cupcakes, white with vanilla buttercream! My favorite though is my mom’s white cake with rich chocolate frosting and lots of pink sprinkles

My birthday is in May – right when strawberries seem to be at their most delicious, so my favorite cake to eat on my birthday is angel food cake with sliced strawberries and whipped cream! It makes my mouth water just typing it!

My mom used to make me a cookie cake every year. Last year, I actually did not get a cake!! This year I want a cupcake like classic vanilla with a strawberry butter cream or ice cream sundae from Lula’s Sweet Apothecary.

I’d much rather have cupcakes over cake. One of the winner’s of the Food Network show Cupcake Wars is from Rochester, NY and coincidentally, her shop is about 3 miles from my house which is both a good thing and bad!

Happy Anniversary! This past year I had a gluten-free, dairy-free oreo cake that was made by whole foods that my mom and I actually trekked back 3.5 hours in the car JUST for my birthday. It’d so hard to find a good gluten-free, dairy-free cake that tastes good so it was worth the 3.5 car ride holding it

I’d probably be happiest with just a big bowl of ice cream and a candle stuck in the center, but that wouldn’t be “birthday-ish” enough, ya know?
