Joe made me do this serious power lifting superset workout. I don’t even know what to call it. I am still sore today.
In between chest and back, he made me do (real) chin ups while he assisted me. Two words: Ouch and awesome!
My best friend Claire is getting married in October. Claire, her mother, sister, and 2 of us bridesmaids went to Kleinfeld and Lovely in NYC. I’ll just say, we were all more impressed with Lovely. I also found a new love for instagram.
It is adorable inside and the dresses were unique and whimsical!
No work=still my weekend. Unfortunately, I woke up with a sore throat so I decided to take it easy today. I took a rest day and stocked up at the grocery store.
This is only 1/3 of what I got, but produce is the most important part, right!?
- organic gala apples
- sweet potatoes
- brussels sprouts
- green and yellow squash
- organic blueberries
- organic spinach
- baby bella mushrooms
I haven’t had oatmeal in weeks. I made traditional rolled oats with half of a mashed banana, 1 tbsp. chia seeds, cinnamon, almond milk, and vanilla extract.
I topped it with Courtney’s honey cinnamon peanut butter.
Lunch was a boxed organic black bean soup that I got at the grocery store. I was not in any mood to make or wait for homemade soup.
I did make it a little more interesting by topping it with greek yogurt and avocado. I enjoyed a brown rice cake with hummus on the side while watching Revenge in the living room on DVR.
After listening to a LONG (I’m talking 2.5 hours) IIN lecture, I took a nap. I can’t believe I took a nap! I never nap! I must be sick and lacking sleep. Getting enough sleep and keeping low stress levels are very important in warding off sickness and disease. I just listened to it in the lecture. John Douillard talked about how stress causes your body to produce stress hormones which are toxic. They create damaging free radical waste which can lead to disease. Scary, huh?
Well, I’m off to make dinner and study #2: CPT.
