An Abundance of Babybells

You know those days where you have a million things to do, and you want (& try) to do all of them but it just makes you be less productive? I feel like that was was the case today for me. I ran around doing a million things at once but after the fact, I really didn’t get that much done.

One important thing I did get done was a workout. After a good 30 minutes of abs, I did this treadmill workout.

That was what I tried to follow, but I found myself having to hold on even when the rest period got down to 3.5, so I did lower the speed to 2.5 towards the end. I even lowered my 5.X speeds before the minute had ended, so don’t feel bad if you have to modify this! I was dripping sweat. I cooled down on the bike for 10 minutes before heading home.

In between then and now, a bunch of things happened.

  • breakfast
  • work
  • lunch
  • laundry x3
  • grocery shopping
  • a snack


Mmmm! I was weary about the crunchy seeds, but I loved every bite. Go get yourself a Chobani Passion Fruit, you won’t be sorry!


When I finally settled down, I checked the mail and saw this odd box at our doorstep.


After reading that it was from Naples, Florida, I realized that it was from Joe’s parents. They went to their condo in Florida for the week and sent us these babybell oranges!


I didn’t know where to put all of them because I had just grocery shopped and filled up the fruit basket, so I found another basket and I am storing them on the dining room table for now.


I’m sure they’ll be gone in a week anyway! I see some orange creamsicle protein smoothies in the near future!

Speaking of food, I immediately made dinner after unpacking the oranges. I bought some special items to make a recipe this week but I couldn’t wait to dig in to a few of them. So, I used up some stuff in the fridge and incorporated some of the new to make this delicious quesadilla.


I heated up leftover white beans with paprika, sea salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder and mashed them up. I added oil to a pan and heated up a brown rice tortilla. The guts included the bean mixture, mexican cheese, and salsa.


Accompanied by half of an avocado and Chobani plain fat free greek yogurt.


The other half of the avocado will likely accompany eggs tomorrow.

Of course, I had to have a side of oranges.


They were sweet and super juicy. Good thing we have lots more!

Alright, I’m off to do the most important thing that I didn’t get to yet: study. I’m on the nutrition chapter of the ACSM book and it’s really interesting.

Love the looks of that run/walk workout. I think I’ll add this to my schedule for next week.
The passion fruit was good but I thought a tad too sweet for my liking. But I agree, I did love the seeds!

I just finally found the blood orange flavor. I can’t wait to try that one too! I get so excited over new products!

I love the blood orange flavor the most out of the 3 new flavors, it’s got a hint of sour to it!

I haaaate those kinds of days. I always have a To-Do list that’s a mile long and am going back and forth between tasks that by the end of the day, I didn’t fully finish a single thing and I felt like it was a non-productive day.

So funny you got your babybells this week. I came home to a box of grapefruit and sweetbelles from my in laws this week too (from the same place in Naples). Made for some great snacks this week.
