I realized that I never actually wrote about my New Years Eve and Day. But first I’ll just show you last night’s picture of dinner because let’s be honest, it’s the same thing as tonight. I had leftover “cheesy” rice and beans mixed with broccoli and tomatoes with a baked sweet potato. I could eat sweet potatoes everyday for the rest of my life. Even if it’s a monster like this one that took 90 minutes to bake.
P.S. Trader Joe’s organic ketchup is the bomb. Yeah I said it. It’s like kind of spicy but not. It’s definitely different from Heinz classic and has a whole lot of taste. Plus, it has no high fructose corn syrup. There’s a lot of that in regular ketchup, so watch out for that!
Nom. Okay. Moving on. How about I didn’t even get a picture of Joe and I on NYE? Which may attribute to why we had no pictures of us around the house for a while! He was busy working and I was busy doing coat check, but my friend Kristina and I managed to get some after hours pictures.
Joe likes to dance while he sweeps. I have no idea what song was on at the time but does it really matter? He’d dance to nothing I’m sure.
After getting home around 4am $90 richer, I hit the bed and passed right out. My friend Carrie and her husband Mike invited a bunch of us over for New Years Day brunch at their apartment. They had a delicious spread including mini lox and cream cheese bites, mixed berries, eggs and chorizo on toast, and pumpkin pancakes.
Kristina brought this crazy layered dessert that consisted of chocolate, bacon, whiskey marshmallow and caramel. Wow!
We washed it all down with mimosas and bloody marys.
Now I have to take myself back to reality and get a little PT studying in before my 8:00 phone call for school, so I’ll see you guys tomorrow!
