Sigh. After not blogging for a week, there’s nothing to say but so much to say. There’s been a slight bump in the road which has caused me to not be able to work out and to miss a bit of work. It’s not anything I will be discussing with anyone at work or on the blog, but it explains my short hiatus. Sometimes I find it hard to bring myself to post when something in my life has been interrupted. No workouts and lots of lying around don’t make for an interesting discussion, so regular posting will resume shortly.

That being said, food has been my comfort, as always. Since Thanksgiving, there’s been lots of leftovers,

lots of breakfasts,

lots of time to cook healthy dinners,

some baking,

and quite a bit of drinking.

I’ve also had some extra time to dedicate to studying,

organizing my iCal schedule, and even scooping up some Christmas deals. I purchased the Canon camera and Garmin GPS/HRM on Meghann’s post immediately after seeing them. Joe decided to buy them for me–so much for Christmas surprises!

Hopefully I will have some better content once my life is back in order. For now, I just wanted to let you guys know I’m still alive!

All the food looks yummy. Just take things one day at a time. Sometimes a little time away from our routine is a good thing.

That stinks, I hope everything is OK and you get better soon. I’m sitting in the same boat with you. I got a DVT in my thigh and am on blood thinners. Dr’s orders to not work out so I don’t hurt myself, ugh. I’ll be out of service for 3-6 months!!

Just take the time to do everything else you need to do like studying and organizing =)
