An Early Saturday

Last night, I fell asleep watching Hangover 2, which was a bootleg copy that Joe gets from some guy he works with. I didn’t make it to the end and I have no shame in my 10PM Friday night bed time.

I woke up at 6:43 to Joe who was obviously ready to get up and get moving. Seriously? How do you get home when I’m already in bed and wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed on a Saturday when all I want to do is sleep in on my only days off. Robot.

We went to the gym at about 7:30 and I decided I wasn’t even going to attempt lifting with the hoards of people that were in the gym. I always get annoyed, so I just did some abs and then made a beeline to the treadmill on the end. I just started running with no goal in mind.

7 miles: 61 minutes

I’ll take it. I love being done with the gym early on a Saturday! I have a ton of time now to get all of my errands and…relaxing done. :)

I was starving by the time we got home, obviously. I bought cranberries last week not knowing what I was going to use them for. I realized last night that I should have been putting them in smoothies and oatmeal. Doy! Oh well, guess I’ll have to bake some cranberry pumpkin bread later or tomorrow.

I boiled some water and almond milk with the cranberries to soften them up. When it came to a boil I added in the oats, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and stevia. Right as it was done cooking I added some vanilla protein powder and pecans. I topped it off with TJ’s sunflower butter.

Cranberry pecan oatmeal with sunflower butter. Bam.

Joe has been working a lot at his new restaurant since it is opening on Tuesday. They’re trying to get everything set up and the last minute details finished. We had talked about me going to see it today while he’s there and he said “Why don’t you come clean?”. I said, “If anything is getting cleaned, it’s this dirty house!”. So, I grabbed supplies and hopped in the shower. Yeah, that sounds weird. It’s so much easier when you don’t care about getting soaked. I scrubbed the crap out of the tile before taking a shower.

Shiny and clean!

I swear this shower grows mold faster than I can run a mile.

Anyway, I intend to stop at the restaurant, and assess the cleaning situation. But Trader Joe’s is nearby so I have all intentions of making a stop there. There’s also a Whole Foods nearby. Hmm..lunch? I have a few leftover items from last week that I can work with, so I don’t need to buy that much.

I also need to return a blazer for Joe. It’s been hanging over the kitchen chair since it was delivered and he decided it didn’t fit right.

So, that’s what I need to knock off my list today. I hope your Saturday started off great!
