October Goal Recap

Yesterday was a crazy busy day! At work, we had an event and I met Julie Andrews! She is so sweet in person. Good thing I got in a workout to give me energy for the whole day. I worked on my core and upper body followed by 20 minutes on the elliptical.

  1. russian twists
    left side crunches
    right side crunches
  2. knee drives
  3. tricep pull downs
    tricep dips
  4. double cable bicep curls
  5. 20 burpees
    20 mountain climbers
    30 jumping jacks

I completed each set (some singles, I know!) 3 times before moving on to the next.

I’ve been loving green pumpkin pie smoothies, but unfortunately due to time constraints, I barely ever measure anything. Ice, almond milk , vanilla protein powder, chia seeds, flax meal, pumpkin purée, cinnamon, nutmeg, pumpkin pie spice, stevia, and spinach were all thrown in the blender. I added some honey at the end, too, because it wasn’t sweet enough for me.

Today I completed 4.25 miles on the treadmill. I almost took a rest day because I was tired, but then I remembered Pile on the Miles! The spreadsheet needs to be updated by tomorrow at 8am, and since I am usually running around in the morning, I wanted to make sure I honestly ran the miles and updated prior to that time. So, I am at 7.5 miles as of Tuesday, when the challenge started. Thanks Monica for being my motivation this morning!

I made this up on the fly:

October Goal Recap

Before I get into my November goals later this week, I want to recap my October goals so I can have that accomplished feeling again. I love it! That’s why I continue to set goals each month.

I had 3 simple goals during October, knowing that those were realistically what I could finish.

1. Organize the office and our bedroom. 1/2 complete. I did the office – which was the hardest!

2. Start looking over my new plan of action. Check! I’ve updated you guys about this.

3. Track my finances and cut back. Sort of, check. I reviewed it, but still need to cut back on some things, such as my storage rental fee. I need to sell all of that stuff. I have been really awesome with grocery savings though!

I hope your November is off to a great start!

Glad to see that you are setting realistic goals. It must give you a sense of satisfaction when you accomplish them.

Ugh that reminds me.. I really need to get more organized with my finances, and work on saving money at the grocery store… that place kills my wallet! Gotta pay the price for eating fresh huh?
