When we arrived, we were greeted with some awesome swag bags!
We also got a great pair of Asics Gel cross trainers!
….which we didn’t need for core fusion class, but don’t be fooled, it was still a doozy!
I really wasn’t sure what to expect from the class except that it was a bar method class, which I’d never tried before.
We had a great city view.
We started out with some serious planks. You know how I love my planks, but the way our instructor incorporated them made it extra hard! We did pushups, upper body, and arms before moving on to the ballet bar where we did a lot of “pulses” and small movements involving squats and bending.
Lastly, we focused on our core.
This photo is compliments of Theodora, who caught me looking like I was trying to squeeze one out. But seriously, lifting your legs up in this position is extremely hard! Your back is flat against the wall and it feels almost impossible. But check out our instructor rocking it like it’s nothing. Talk about a serious lower ab workout.
Afterwards, Caitlin and I chatted and took some photos in our matching outfits.
I was loving the Actra tank top. Space dyed anything is cool with me. Plus, it was super comfy and definitely sweat-wicking. The Adidas crops were stretchy and moved with me. The bra, well, I already own this Nike sports bra in other colors and I love it!
PS. The socks we were given had grips on the bottom, thank the lord!
We headed back to the locker room for massages before heading to the blue room for lunch. Cocktails, appetizers, and passed hors d’oeuvres were served.
We listened to a few Lady Foot Locker merchandisers and marketers speak about the brands initiatives. I also had the opportunity to speak with the shoe buyer who really portrayed who their target customer is. Lady Foot Locker is the place where active women go to find great performance workout gear that can be worn in or outside of the gym. I’d totally rock my new tank running errands after a sweat session!
It was interesting to learn how LFL has lots of exclusives that you can’t find at any other retailer. I never thought about it, but LFL really is the only active wear destination that is specifically for women!
There were lots of bright colored sneakers placed all around the room. You can definitely tell that LFL is focusing on fashion forward apparel and sneakers. Every woman wants to feel cute and confident in their workout gear! What better way to attract us than bright colors, a great fit, and new technology!?
Lunch was served shortly after. There was a sushi chef as well as shrimp cocktail.
Pardon my torn apart sushi (aka sashimi, I guess, right!?). Anyway, lunch was great and I got to meet some inspiring ladies.
Thanks Glam Media and Lady Foot Locker for a great day!
