Guess what I did again this morning? 5AM BOOTCAMP!
I signed up after doing the demo on Tuesday and Thursday last week. I loved it so much that I couldn’t resist. I justified spending the money because it gets me out of bed earlier 2 times a week (one of my September goals) and it pushes me harder that I’d push myself. I was never a class person, but this one just got me.
Today we focused more on strength rather than conditionining, which we will cover on Thursday. We did a lot of pushups and about 20 different upper and lower body exercises. We also jump roped, which threw me off a bit. I seriously don’t think I have jump roped since I was like, twelve. I tripped over it for a second before I got my rhythm. I definitely had to laugh at myself for that one. After class, I ran 3 miles next to Joe as he was tackling his 8 miles. I figured I should probably run a little this week to prepare myself for Saturday’s race. Any other NYC blogger’s running this that want to meet up?
Breakfast wasn’t anything out of the ordinary, but still super tasty. I made a smoothie bowl containing a frozen banana, spinach, almond milk, and vanilla protein powder. I topped it with Quaker oatmeal squares (HLS Swag, still) and chia seeds.
I love how chia seeds look up close. They looks like little eggs that are hatching, right?
Before I got to work, I stopped for something I have been craving.
A Starbucks grande iced coffee with two pumps of pumpkin spice, soy milk, and cinnamon! It was exactly what I’d hoped for. Next time I’ll probably add some nutmeg, too. And maybe get a Venti, of course.
