I love office parties, even when they are ones I’m not invited to. There’s always leftover food in the pantry and people trying to pawn it off. Seriously, don’t try to pawn off food to me because there will be none left next time you go back for another bite.
Yesterday, I indulged in some leftover Pinkberry and toppings. Yes, they deliver Pinkberry in bulk to make your own bowl. And yes, that is half a Magnolia cupcake on top of my already piled high toppings.
I think I worked it all off this morning though. I did 55 minutes of intervals on the treadmill covering over 5 miles, along with 25 minutes of obliques, upper, and lower abs. I was bright red, soaking wet, and sore already by the time I was done!
My normal smoothie base consists of ice, frozen bananas, unsweetened vanilla almond milk, and vanilla SunWarrior. I know most people use ice for blending, but the frozen banana makes it so creamy. I try to use half and half though so I don’t overload, being that I almost always add spinach and some type of berry as well (blackberries preferably). Today, I opted for PB2 powder over the berries to make a creamy green banana nut smoothie!
My mid morning snack involved bananas and nuts too! Another new bar that I spotted at the health food store a while ago and wanted to try. I grabbed the Banana Almond MacroBar.
I was quite impressed with the intense banana flavor, as well as the stats.
I’m obviously a huge banana lover, so I was pretty disappointed when I came across this article about the BANANA APOCOLYPSE! I don’t know how true this is, but I have a plan. I will buy a storage garage and multiple freezers. I’ll clear out every grocery store of bananas and even grab them out of a monkeys hands if I have too.
I will make sure I have lots of creamy smoothies in my future.
And now….more office party treats. SERIOUSLY!? I can’t get away!
