What I Blog About Thursday
Okay, so I made that up. I’ll get to my point after we cover some other important stuff.
Workout
This morning I had all intentions of running, and I did just that. I haven’t done a non-stop run in a while, as I’ve been having an affair with intervals.
5 miles: 41:17
I did a total of 45 minutes, but I hit 5 miles at around 41 minutes which made me super happy. I had no aches or pains and ran straight through breaking a major sweat. It looked like this (no inclines):
I ran 2 minutes at a faster pace followed by 3 minutes at .5 slower. I liked this workout a lot.
Breakfast
I made the usual protein shake after the gym, but my real breakfast was about 2 hours later. Since I had 3 empty jars of PB lined up waiting, I figured it would be a good time to make OOIAJ . I made my overnight oats in a jar last night and brought them to work with me. This time, they included:
- 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
- 2 tbsp. chia seeds
sprinklelarge spoonful cinnamon- 1 stevia packet
- pinch salt
- 1 drop vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup approx. of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 1/2 scoops vanilla SunWarrior
- 1/2 banana mashed up
In the morning I added some PB2 and almond milk to soften it up.
Dee-lish!
Check out all the excess Crazy Richard’s PB left at the bottom. I scraping the jar to get every last bite. I can’t help it! Sometimes I hide the jars before they are all done so there is a lot of PB left at the bottom. Don’t tell Joe.
Yum! This seriously keeps me full for hours.
Now, to explain my title. What I Blog About Thursday. It kind of goes along with trends like WIAW (What I ate Wednesday), but I am just being silly. I really wanted to discuss my topics of choice. Some bloggers that I follow have said that it takes a while to really understand/discover who you are as a blogger. You find a posting schedule, topics you prefer, and your own style. As I reach my 100th post (3 more to go!), I am realizing more every day what works for me.
I know that I cannot commit to 3 posts a day. I would love to, but with my job I can’t. Some days I can do 2, most 1, and unfortunately some days I can’t at all. I find that as I read my favorite blogs, I get to know their schedule. It doesn’t matter when they post because I enjoy the content and I look forward to reading it.
I have come to the realization that it is very rare for me to cook a full fledged dinner. Again, I would love to, everynight, but I can’t because I get home with enough time to whip up a quick smoothie and relax for an hour before bed. When I do cook meals though, I am sure to post them. Otherwise, I focus on awesome smoothie bowls, oatmeal bowls, and otherwise any restaurants Joe and I eat at. Sometimes, sweets at work are included, too. Like it or leave it! I’m a sweets girls. I was thinking about possibly making a page dedicated to my crazy smoothie bowl creations (and recipes). What do you think?
I still try to give detailed cardio and strength training workouts. I enjoy putting things together for myself and especially like having treadmill interval workouts to look back on. In time, I intend to have a page dedicated to workouts as well.
I want to incorporate fashion into my blog. I have from the start, but I am still working on finding the best way to do so. Bear with me please!
For now, I’ll leave you with these adorable Dolce Vita shoes I scooped up on Rue La La for $19.99!
