That’s right! I turn 25 today! I have been lying to you all along on the right side of my blog. When I started it over 2 months ago, I figured I was almost 25 anyway so what the hay.
My morning started out with me
snoozing a few times and telling myself that it’s my birthday so I don’t have to work out waking up and working out because I want to feel good all day and I know I will be consuming massive amount of sweets. I ran in the park again. I am slowly falling in love with running outside. When I got home, I did a quick ab workout in the living room before getting ready for my big day (right). No, I don’t feel anything about being 25. Considering my boyfriend and all most of my friends are older than me, it doesn’t bother me at all. I still feel young!
My Vitamix didn’t come last night, only the extras like the cutting boards, spatulas, and recipe books. The machine best be here today or I’m going to cry if I want to on my birthday! Joe said I can’t have my cards until later and to decide if I want to do anything. I am so indecisive I can’t even decide if I want to go out to eat tonight, not tonight, in the city, not in the city, let alone what restaurant. My favorite flowers (Hydrangeas) bloomed in our backyard so I’m going to tell Joe he can just pick them for me.
As for other birthday presents, I recieved my Starbucks free drink card a few days ago.
I waited to use it for my venti iced sugar free soy caramel macchiato on my actual birthday!
Unfortuantely, my shoe calendar did not represent me today.
My mom sent me a card with a Magnolia Bakery gift card. Love.
..and when I got to work, our new intern surprised me with two Magnolia cupcakes! Red velvet and vanilla. She is so sweet! I may or may not have eaten one for breakfast.
So… a Vitamix, Starbucks, Magnolia cupcakes. Do we see a pattern here? I could have had a damn $650 hangbag but I’d rather have chunk-less smoothies. I love my food, for sure. So if you haven’t bought me my present yet, the following items are still being accepted:
- Gift cards to Starbucks in the amount of $100 or more
- Garmin Forerunner because of my new found love for outdoor runs
- Cupcakes of any kind
I made tuna salad last night using the following:
- 1 can tuna
- 2 Tbsp. Nayonaise
- 1/4 cup celery cut into peices
- dash cayenne pepper
- onion and garlic powder
- salt and pepper
- 2 Tbsp. flax meal
I added the flax because I guess I didn’t drain it enough so it was kind of wattery. It actually tasted really good with it in there, plus it added some extra nutrients! I topped a whole wheat sandwich thin and ate it with some frozen grapes that went unpictured.
Lunch was followed by a surprise from my co-workers. They obviously know me too well.
A bag of reese’s, pomegranate sparkling lemonade, and Crumb’s cupcakes:
- PBJ Cupcakes (amazing, topped w/ graham cracker, demolished)
- Apple Crumb
- Cosmopolitan (the pink one…I always avoided this one but it is so good!)
- Milky Way
- Red Velvet
- Lemon Meringue
My desk is now covered in a plethora of sweets that I will probably eat until I’m sick. See, good thing I went for a run this morning!
Apparently Joe has more cupcakes coming my way. If you see a cupcake walking around tomorrow, it’s me. I turned into one.
Back to work for a few hours! I got to color on my birthday. Can you guess what my job is? It’s not a teacher, but you would think by the way our area is looking right now. Craziness!
Lastly, Rachel Zoe’s newletter today featured some cute workout accessories and I just wanted to share! You can add those to my birthday list, too.
