The name for this post changed about 5 times since I woke up this morning.

- Pain is Weakness Leaving the Body
I’ll explain why. It all started last night when I got home from work to see an empty jar of peanut butter in the recycle bin. Joe finished it on me! I was a little angry, for a second, but then a lightbulb popped up above my head. OIAJ!
My first Oats in a Jar! There were scraps of PB left on the sides, perfect for making my overnight oats. I added:
- 1/2 cup old fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
- 1/2 scoop Isopure vanilla protein powder
- 1 tbsp chia seeds
- 1 stevia packet
- sprinkle cinnamon
- 1 tbsp homemade almond butter
- mashed up banana
- 1 tbsp Hershey’s dark cocoa powder
- 1 tbsp chocolate PB2
Yea, I went a little crazy. I mushed it all up and dreamed about it all night. I even thought about it at the gym this morning. I did a short 20 minute floor ab routine followed by 35 minutes on the treadmill, covering just under 4 miles (warmup and cooldown were incline walking). At that time, my post was named OIAJ. I was sure of it because I knew how good they’d be.
Next, I saw a dude with a shirt that read “Pain is weakness leaving the body.” I thought, wow, this is a Julie exercise mantra quote. I intend to tell her to add it to her list. This quote makes you want to push yourself hard at the gym, but also implies than when you are sick, your body is saying “Hey, hold up! Rest and let me get rid of this annoying illness so you can resume normal routine!”. The name of my post (in my head) changed immediately. Nope, too long of a name…plus, we had some more thoughts going on this morning.
I headed over to do squats for the first time in 3 weeks. Since I took last week off, and was lazy the week before and just did the basic machines, it had been a while. When I was done doing 6 sets of squats and deadlifts (15 reps, 10 second rest), I felt like I was going to puke. That’s when you know you have a good leg workout! That is also when you say “I am going to name my post ‘Squats til you Puke’”. About 10 minutes later, after finishing up the rest of my leg workout, stumbling up the stairs and out the door, the name changes to “Jello Legs”. I feared I would not make it to my car because my legs were so weak.
When I got to work, I enjoyed these little buggers. I had to add a little almond milk first to soften them up. I enjoy scraping the sides like Kath. I wouldn’t compare it to vacuuming. I don’t know what I would compare it to, but it is very enjoyable getting every last bit of oats!

TGIF, my friends! I was thinking about TGIF this morning and rememberd the shows on ABC every Friday night from 8-10pm (am I wrong on the time?) The show with the dinosaurs used to be my favorite. I brought it up at work and everyone went nuts. A girl on the other side of my cube yelled “NOT THE MAMA”. Remember the baby used to hit things and scream that? I googled it and found that the show was infact called, simply, “Dinosaurs”. This leads to the last contemplated post name of “Not the Mama”, which didn’t make the cut either. Being the indecisive person that I am, I chose the name above.
…and Happy Friday the 13th!! I am not supersticious, but I did have a mishap with my commute this morning that really angered me.
